A young woman from around the turn of the century gazes outward, her long hair falling in soft waves and her expression quiet and thoughtful. Portraits from that era carry a stillness I find deeply moving, a sense that every face holds a story we will never fully know.

I created this piece on a textured board surface to echo the age and softness of an old photograph. I wanted the worn texture and fading edges to feel like a memory slowly resurfacing through time.

Sold at the Virginia City Arts Show in September 2026. I am grateful to the collector who gave this piece a home.
